Home Grown was created as an idea of a future ideal home with environmental impacts equating to that of a garden. The floor tiles, made of mycelium with fabric as a substrate, were inspired by Persian carpets and represent a floor plan of the house of the future. It is replicated and distorted in the numerous carnival mirrors that constitute the walls and the ceiling of the structure. The installation is part of the RetroFuture Exhibition at Evoluon, Netherlands (Next Nature Network). The virtual model is meant to imagine the architecture of the future that would arise from the mycelium floor plan.
